Prohibited Uses

RJF identifiers and services must not be used for:

• Creating, storing, or sharing content that promotes hate speech, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups
• Harassment, stalking, or intimidation of others
• Distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Unauthorized access to systems or data
• Misrepresenting the source or ownership of content
• Deliberately misleading or deceiving users
• Creating or maintaining identifiers for resources that contain illegal content or violate intellectual property rights

Data Ethics

Data Collection and Use

We are committed to ethical data practices, including:

• Collecting only the data necessary for providing our services

RJF identifiers can include metadata about resources. We encourage users to:

Intellectual Property

• Not using RJF identifiers to circumvent copyright protection
• Respecting the terms of licenses for content identified by RJF identifiers
• Properly attributing content when required by licenses
• Not using RJF identifiers to create confusion about the ownership or origin of content

We reserve the right to take action against uses of RJF identifiers and services that violate this Ethical Use Policy. Actions may include:

• Warning the user about the violation
• Temporarily suspending access to RJF services
• Permanently terminating access to RJF services
• Removing or disabling RJF identifiers associated with prohibited content
• Reporting illegal activities to appropriate authorities

Policy Updates

This Ethical Use Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulations, or our understanding of ethical issues. We will notify users of significant changes and provide an opportunity for feedback.
